Brothers in Business: Celebrating the Next Chapter of Busch Funeral and Crematory Services

brothers_retirementAfter nearly 40 years of serving Busch Funeral and Crematory Services, and the families and communities of Northeast Ohio, I’m honored to share that Mark—my brother and co-owner of our family business—is ready to celebrate a happy and healthy retirement.

He retires from the fourth generation family owned and operated business on November 1, 2020, excited about his next chapter.

A planned succession and retirement is a milestone to be celebrated in any family business, and our caring staff is well-positioned to continue on the Busch legacy.

Our roots have always been founded on faith, family and friends, which Mark upheld from the very beginning. During this era, Busch has evolved. Mark’s intuitive leadership style led our innovative pre-planning services to receive national recognition. Mark’s creative abilities with personalizing services was amazing. More recently his marketing, advertising and public relations responsibilities grew tenfold with new technology integration. And community engagement was the heart of Mark’s passion and zest. This same mentality is forever instilled in our team, which he helped train. We plan to continue the spirit of creativity and innovation he brought to his career and the community.

Busch Funeral and Crematory Services has shaped me into the man I am today. I want to thank you for allowing me to serve you, as I’ve had the great privilege of working with some of the most special and inspirational families and individuals.

Anyone can do the ordinary, but our caring staff does the extraordinary.”

— Mark Busch

While we’ll miss his friendly face and teddy bear style, we want to celebrate this next chapter in his life. Not everyone gets to do business with their brother—let alone for 35 years. It’s been a privilege to lead alongside him every step of the way.

From all of us at Busch, thank you for your commitment to serving others, Mark.

Sincerely,
Jim Busch
